In a decisive Divisional Round matchup, the Houston Texans topped the Los Angeles Chargers 31-14, securing their spot in the next stage of the playoffs. The Texans' victory marked a pivotal moment in their 2029 season, as they looked to make a deep postseason run. C.J. Stroud delivered a stellar performance for Houston, throwing for 219 yards and four touchdowns, showcasing his ability to lead the offense effectively. George Pickens was a reliable target, racking up 68 receiving yards, while the Texans' ground game complemented the aerial attack seamlessly. On the defensive side, Calen Bullock's interception was a crucial turning point, stifling a potential Chargers comeback and allowing the Texans to maintain control of the game. Despite a strong rushing effort from Omarion Hampton, who amassed 98 yards, the Chargers struggled to convert that momentum into points. The Texans' defense, anchored by Bullock's big play and a solid overall effort, ultimately held off the Chargers to secure the win.
