In a decisive Week 18 matchup, the Las Vegas Raiders topped the Kansas City Chiefs with a final score of 38-21, solidifying their position in the playoff race. With both teams vying for critical positioning, the Raiders delivered a strong performance to secure their postseason hopes. Patrick Mahomes showcased his usual brilliance for the Chiefs, throwing for 270 yards and two touchdowns, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Raiders' offensive prowess. Las Vegas leaned on Mike Washington Jr., who led the ground game with 64 rushing yards, while their aerial attack spread the ball effectively to keep the Chiefs' defense guessing. Defensively, the Raiders made their presence felt, particularly with Maxx Crosby's two sacks, which were pivotal in disrupting Mahomes' rhythm throughout the game. The turning point came late in the second quarter when the Raiders capitalized on a crucial turnover, allowing them to pull ahead and maintain momentum. Kansas City struggled to recover, ultimately falling short as Las Vegas held off their late attempts to rally.
