In a thrilling Week 17 matchup, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers narrowly defeated the Los Angeles Rams with a final score of 21-16, solidifying their playoff positioning. The stakes were high as both teams fought for crucial momentum heading into the postseason, but it was the Buccaneers who emerged victorious on their home turf. Baker Mayfield was the standout performer for Tampa Bay, throwing for an impressive 242 yards and three touchdown passes, showcasing his ability to deliver when it mattered most. Chris Godwin Jr. also made a significant impact, racking up 93 receiving yards and providing Mayfield with a reliable target throughout the game. On the ground, Blake Corum led the Rams with 73 rushing yards, but it wasn’t enough to change the outcome. Defensively, the Buccaneers were led by Jacob Parrish, who recorded eight total tackles, helping to stifle the Rams' offensive efforts. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Myles Garrett of the Rams sacked Mayfield, but the Buccaneers quickly regained their composure and drove down the field to seal the win. Ultimately, it was Tampa Bay's balanced performance that allowed them to hold off the Rams in a tightly contested battle.
