In a thrilling Week 17 showdown, the New York Giants narrowly defeated the Dallas Cowboys, 24-20, securing a crucial win as the regular season winds down. Both teams were vying for playoff positioning, making this clash even more significant in the race for postseason glory. Giants quarterback J.J. McCarthy led the offensive charge with a balanced attack, rushing for 54 yards while also contributing to the passing game. Darnell Mooney emerged as McCarthy's favorite target, racking up an impressive 118 receiving yards and helping to keep the chains moving throughout the game. Dak Prescott of the Cowboys threw for 199 yards and a touchdown, but it wasn't enough to seal the victory for Dallas. Defensively, the Giants made key plays to hold off the Cowboys late in the game, with Jevon Holland leading the way with four total tackles. The turning point came when the Giants' defense stifled a crucial drive in the fourth quarter, forcing Dallas to settle for a field goal instead of a touchdown. Quinnen Williams added pressure with 1.5 sacks, but ultimately, it was the Giants' ability to make stops when it mattered that secured their victory.
