In a commanding performance to kick off the 2031 season, the New York Giants defeated the Dallas Cowboys 31-3. With both teams eager to make a statement, the Giants showcased their dominance right from the start, leaving the Cowboys searching for answers throughout the contest. Arch Manning led the Giants' offensive charge, throwing for 199 yards and a touchdown, while Kyren Williams bolstered the ground game with 97 rushing yards. Jordan Addison was a reliable target for Manning, racking up 80 receiving yards and helping to keep the chains moving. The Giants’ offense proved efficient and effective, capitalizing on the opportunities presented by the Cowboys' mistakes. Defensively, the Giants were relentless, with Byron Murphy II leading the charge with two sacks and Leonard Moore snagging an interception that shifted momentum firmly in New York's favor. The turning point came early in the second half when Moore's pick set up an immediate touchdown drive, extending the Giants' lead to a commanding 24-3 and effectively sealing the game. Dallas struggled to recover after that, as the Giants' defense continued to apply pressure and stifle any offensive rhythm.
