In a thrilling season opener, the Los Angeles Rams narrowly defeated the Seattle Seahawks with a final score of 21-20. The stakes were high as both teams aimed to get their 2031 campaign off to a strong start, but it was the Rams who emerged victorious in this tightly contested matchup. Jordan Love was the standout performer for the Rams, throwing for two touchdowns and adding 72 rushing yards to his impressive stat line. His ability to connect with Rashee Rice, who racked up 116 receiving yards, was crucial in keeping the Seahawks' defense on their heels. Meanwhile, Jamie Koutouvides led the Seahawks with 291 passing yards but was unable to secure the win. Defensively, the Rams made their mark with Elliot Washington II leading the charge with nine total tackles. The crucial moment came late in the game when Washington's consistent pressure helped stifle the Seahawks' final drive. Despite Matayo Uigalelei's 1.5 sacks for Seattle, it was the Rams' defensive resilience that ultimately sealed the victory and set the tone for their season.
