The Baltimore Ravens topped the Detroit Lions 45-20 in a decisive Week 1 matchup of the 2027 season. With both teams looking to set the tone early in the season, the Ravens demonstrated their dominance on both sides of the ball, securing a comfortable victory on the road. Lamar Jackson was the star of the show, throwing for 308 yards and three touchdowns, showcasing his dual-threat capability. Zay Flowers contributed significantly in the air with 91 receiving yards, while the Lions' Jahmyr Gibbs led the ground game with 105 rushing yards, but it wasn't enough to keep pace with Baltimore’s explosive offense. Defensively, the Ravens were relentless, with Kyle Hamilton recording 10 total tackles to anchor the unit. Ahmad Moten Sr. added pressure with a sack, while Marlon Humphrey’s interception was a key moment that shifted momentum firmly in Baltimore’s favor. The turning point came late in the second quarter when Humphrey's pick set up another touchdown, extending the Ravens' lead and ultimately sealing the game.
