In a commanding performance, the Buffalo Bills defeated the Houston Texans 24-3 in Week 5 of the 2031 season. With playoff aspirations on the line, the Bills showcased their dominance, proving they are a force to be reckoned with as the season progresses. Carson Beck was the standout for Buffalo, throwing for 225 yards and two touchdowns, effectively leading the offense. Tetairoa McMillan was his top target, racking up 77 receiving yards, while the Bills' balanced approach kept the Texans' defense on their heels throughout the game. On the defensive side, the Bills were relentless, with Bray Hubbard contributing a crucial sack that disrupted the Texans' rhythm. DaShaun Tryon's interception was a pivotal moment, halting any momentum Houston had and solidifying Buffalo's control. The Texans struggled to find their footing, with Theo Smith's 30 rushing yards not enough to spark a comeback against the Bills' formidable defense.
