The San Francisco 49ers topped the New Orleans Saints 36-31 in a thrilling Week 4 matchup that showcased the resilience and firepower of both teams. With playoff implications looming, the 49ers managed to hold off a late surge from the Saints, securing their victory in a tightly contested battle. Leading the charge for San Francisco was quarterback Bo Nix, who threw for 313 yards and two touchdowns, anchoring the offense with precision and poise. Complementing his performance was receiver De'Zhaun Stribling, who lit up the field with 158 receiving yards, making crucial catches that kept drives alive. Jonah Coleman also contributed significantly on the ground with 77 rushing yards, providing balance to the aerial attack. Defensively, the 49ers made impactful plays that shifted momentum, particularly highlighted by Derick Hall's 1.5 sacks and Jordan Battle's interception. The turning point came in the fourth quarter when Battle's interception halted a potential game-tying drive for the Saints, allowing San Francisco to maintain their lead and ultimately seal the win. Nick Bolton's 11 tackles for New Orleans showcased their defensive effort, but it wasn't enough to overcome the 49ers' offensive firepower.
