The Dallas Cowboys narrowly defeated the Washington Commanders 28-21 in a tightly contested Week 5 matchup of the 2031 season. Both teams were vying for a crucial win to bolster their playoff aspirations, but it was the Cowboys who emerged victorious on their home turf. Dylan Raiola was the star of the show for Dallas, throwing for 255 yards and tossing three touchdown passes. His performance was complemented by Kenneth Walker, who added 72 rushing yards, and Wyatt Young, who led all receivers with 85 yards. This offensive trio proved too much for the Commanders' defense to handle. Defensively, the Cowboys made significant plays that turned the tide in their favor. Quinnen Williams registered a key sack, while Trey Amos secured an interception that halted a promising Washington drive. With the game hanging in the balance, these pivotal defensive moments helped Dallas maintain their lead and ultimately secure the win.
