The Baltimore Ravens topped the Jacksonville Jaguars 30-16 in a crucial Week 9 matchup, solidifying their position in the playoff race. With both teams vying for a stronger postseason positioning, the Ravens delivered a commanding performance at home, capitalizing on key plays to secure the win. Lamar Jackson was the standout for Baltimore, throwing for 272 yards and three touchdowns, showcasing his dual-threat ability and leadership on the field. Derrick Henry contributed significantly on the ground, racking up 99 rushing yards, while the Jaguars struggled to contain Baltimore's offensive firepower. Brian Thomas Jr. led the Jaguars' receiving corps with 112 yards, but it wasn't enough to keep pace with the Ravens' offense. Defensively, the Ravens had a strong showing, highlighted by Travis Jones’ sack and Jaylinn Hawkins’ crucial interception, which helped shift momentum in their favor. The game turned decisively in the second quarter when Jackson connected on a touchdown pass that extended their lead. The Jaguars' inability to respond effectively to Baltimore's defensive pressure ultimately sealed their fate, as the Ravens outlasted them for a vital victory.
