In a commanding performance, the Pittsburgh Steelers topped the New Orleans Saints 27-7 in Week 7 of the 2026 season. The victory was crucial for the Steelers as they continue to strengthen their playoff positioning, while the Saints struggle to find their footing in the competitive NFC South. Pittsburgh's offense thrived, led by veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who threw for a touchdown and managed the game effectively. Rico Dowdle emerged as a standout on the ground, racking up an impressive 118 rushing yards, which helped control the tempo and keep the Saints' defense on their heels. Meanwhile, Tyler Shough of New Orleans put up solid numbers with 244 passing yards but struggled to convert that into points. Defensively, T.J. Watt was a game-changer for the Steelers, registering three sacks that disrupted New Orleans' offensive rhythm and contributed to their struggles. The turning point came in the second quarter when Watt's relentless pressure led to a critical turnover, allowing Pittsburgh to extend their lead and seize momentum. With strong performances on both sides of the ball, the Steelers showcased their potential as contenders this season.
