In a tightly contested rivalry match, the Chicago Bears narrowly defeated the Green Bay Packers with a final score of 22-19, delivering a critical win in Week 8 of the 2031 season. The Bears improved their standing in the division, while the Packers faced a setback that could impact their playoff aspirations. Caleb Williams led the Bears with a solid performance, throwing for 244 yards, while Rome Odunze was his top target, racking up 149 receiving yards to help propel the offense. Marvin Boudreaux threw the lone touchdown for Green Bay, but it was Marco Valencia's impressive 125 rushing yards that kept the Packers competitive throughout the game. Defensively, the Bears made crucial plays, highlighted by an interception from Nigel Bennett that shifted momentum in their favor. Despite strong efforts from Green Bay's Will Butler, who recorded six tackles, and Alex Steinbach, who notched 1.5 sacks, the Bears' timely defensive stops proved pivotal to their victory. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Chicago’s defense held firm, denying the Packers a chance to regain the lead.
