In a decisive victory, the Houston Texans topped the Cleveland Browns 29-7 in Week 12 of the 2031 season. With playoff hopes on the line, the Texans delivered a commanding performance that solidified their position in the standings. The Browns struggled to find their rhythm, leaving them with little chance to mount a comeback. Kewan Lacy led the Texans' ground game with 76 rushing yards, consistently breaking through the Browns' defense to set the pace. On the other side, Melvin Baity managed to throw for 190 yards, but his efforts were limited as the Browns struggled to convert drives into points. KC Concepcion Jr. was the standout receiver for Cleveland with 50 yards, but the offense was unable to capitalize on key opportunities. Defensively, the Texans were formidable, with Jakobe Thomas making a critical interception that swung momentum in their favor. Although Leo Chenal recorded a game-high seven tackles for Cleveland, the inability of the Browns' defense to contain Lacy and the Texans' passing attack proved detrimental. The turning point came early in the second half when Thomas's interception led to a quick touchdown, putting Houston firmly in control and sealing their victory.
