In a thrilling Week 3 clash, the Indianapolis Colts narrowly defeated the Houston Texans by a final score of 19-17, securing a crucial win early in the 2026 season. Both teams entered the matchup with high hopes, but it was the Colts who managed to hold off a late surge from the Texans to clinch victory. Colts quarterback Daniel Jones led the charge with an impressive performance, throwing for 235 yards and a touchdown. He found his favorite target, Josh Downs, who racked up 77 receiving yards, while Jonathan Taylor added a solid ground game with 68 rushing yards, contributing to the Colts' well-rounded offensive effort. On the defensive side, the Colts were spearheaded by Charvarius Ward Sr, who recorded six total tackles, helping to stifle the Texans' offensive progress. The game shifted when the Colts' defense tightened in the second half, ultimately allowing them to maintain their slim lead. Meanwhile, Will Anderson Jr. of the Texans was a standout on defense with 2.5 sacks, but it wasn't enough to change the outcome as Indianapolis secured the win.
