In a decisive Week 18 clash, the Houston Texans topped the Pittsburgh Steelers with a commanding 24-5 victory, solidifying their playoff positioning. With the stakes high for both teams, the Texans showcased their dominance on both sides of the ball, leaving the Steelers struggling to find their rhythm. C.J. Stroud led the offensive charge for Houston, throwing for 195 yards and two touchdowns, effectively managing the game and exploiting the Pittsburgh defense. Kewan Lacy complemented the passing attack with 59 rushing yards, while George Pickens emerged as a key target, racking up 66 receiving yards. Their balanced offensive performance kept the Steelers on their heels throughout the contest. Defensively, the Texans were relentless, with Edgerrin Cooper leading the charge with seven total tackles and a pivotal interception by Calen Bullock that swung momentum in Houston’s favor. The turning point came in the second quarter when Bullock’s interception halted a potential Steelers scoring drive, allowing the Texans to extend their lead and control the game from there. Houston’s defense not only stifled Pittsburgh’s offense but also set the tone for a dominant performance that secured their victory.
