The Cleveland Browns kicked off the 2027 season with a commanding 45-28 victory over the Denver Broncos. This Week 1 matchup showcased two explosive offenses, but the Browns' ability to execute in critical moments proved decisive as they look to establish themselves as contenders early in the year. Leading the charge for the Browns was Quinshon Judkins, who dominated on the ground with a staggering 365 rushing yards, a performance that set the tone for the game. Despite the loss, Broncos quarterback Bo Nix put up impressive numbers, throwing for 423 yards and four touchdowns, showcasing his talent and keeping Denver competitive throughout the contest. However, it was the Browns’ balanced offensive attack that ultimately wore down the Broncos' defense. Defensively, the Browns made key plays when it mattered most, highlighted by an interception from Carson Schwesinger that halted a Broncos drive and shifted momentum. Jared Verse also contributed with a sack that pressured Nix at crucial moments, preventing the Broncos from building any sustained rhythm. The game’s turning point came late in the third quarter when Schwesinger's interception allowed Cleveland to extend their lead, solidifying their dominance in the second half and ensuring their victory.
