The Tampa Bay Buccaneers cruised to a decisive 38-7 victory over the Houston Texans in Week 4 of the 2027 season, solidifying their position in the league. With this win, the Buccaneers showcased their offensive prowess and defensive resilience, making a strong statement early in the season. Baker Mayfield led the charge for Tampa Bay, throwing for 218 yards and a touchdown while orchestrating a balanced attack. Bucky Irving contributed significantly on the ground with 79 rushing yards, and the Buccaneers' offense consistently found ways to capitalize on the Texans' mistakes. Meanwhile, Nico Collins shone for Houston, racking up an impressive 150 receiving yards, though it ultimately wasn't enough to spark a comeback. Defensively, the Buccaneers were dominant, highlighted by Antoine Winfield Jr.'s remarkable performance, which included four interceptions that turned the tide of the game. Keionte Scott's four tackles also bolstered the defense, helping to contain the Texans' offense. The turning point came midway through the second quarter when Winfield Jr. intercepted a pass, setting up a short field for Mayfield and the Buccaneers, who quickly converted it into a touchdown and never looked back.
