In a commanding performance, the Detroit Lions triumphed over the New England Patriots with a final score of 51-29 in Week 10 of the 2026 season. With playoff implications on the line, the Lions showcased their offensive firepower, solidifying their position in the race for the postseason. Jared Goff was the standout performer for Detroit, throwing for an impressive 403 yards and four touchdowns, leading the charge against a struggling Patriots defense. His favorite target, Jahmyr Gibbs, had a record-breaking day with 216 receiving yards, consistently breaking free for big plays. On the other side, TreVeyon Henderson of the Patriots made his mark with 151 rushing yards, but his efforts were not enough to keep pace with the Lions' explosive offense. Defensively, the Lions made significant contributions that turned the tide in their favor, particularly with Damone Clark's two interceptions that stifled any momentum the Patriots tried to build. Kerby Joseph's three tackles provided a solid backbone to the Lions' defensive efforts, while Milton Williams recorded a sack for New England. The turning point came in the second quarter when Goff connected with Gibbs for a long touchdown, shifting the momentum squarely in favor of the Lions and sealing the victory.
