In a thrilling season opener, the Buffalo Bills topped the Houston Texans 41-30, setting the tone for an exciting 2026 campaign. Both teams showcased offensive firepower, but the Bills ultimately pulled away in the second half to secure the win. Buffalo’s offense was led by quarterback Josh Allen, who not only rushed for 77 yards but also orchestrated a balanced attack. Wide receiver Davante Adams was a standout target, racking up 107 receiving yards and adding to the Bills' scoring efforts. Meanwhile, C.J. Stroud of the Texans impressed with 232 passing yards and three touchdown throws, but it wasn't enough to keep pace with Buffalo's relentless offense. Defensively, the Bills' Bradley Chubb made a significant impact, recording 2.5 sacks that disrupted the Texans' offensive rhythm. The game's turning point came late in the third quarter, when Chubb's pressure led to an ill-timed interception by Houston, allowing the Bills to extend their lead. Despite a valiant effort from Texans linebacker Kamari Lassiter, who logged eight tackles, it was the Bills' defensive prowess that ultimately sealed their victory.
