In a hard-fought contest, the New England Patriots topped the Buffalo Bills 34-23 in Week 4 of the 2026 season, solidifying their position in the AFC playoff race. With both teams eager to secure a crucial victory, the Patriots showcased their offensive prowess against a formidable division rival. Drake Maye led the charge for New England, throwing for 215 yards and two touchdowns, while TreVeyon Henderson dominated on the ground with an impressive 149 rushing yards. Buffalo's Josh Allen put forth a strong effort as well, racking up 254 passing yards, but it wasn’t enough to keep pace with the Patriots’ explosive offense. Meanwhile, James Cook III emerged as a key target for Allen, finishing with 97 receiving yards. Defensively, Christian Elliss was the standout for New England, making five total tackles and snagging two crucial interceptions that shifted momentum in the Patriots’ favor. The turning point came late in the third quarter when Elliss intercepted Allen’s pass, leading to a touchdown that extended New England’s lead to two scores. Despite Greg Rousseau’s impressive three sacks for Buffalo, it was the Patriots' defense that ultimately made the impactful plays to secure the victory.
