In a commanding Week 3 matchup, the Seattle Seahawks defeated the Washington Commanders 27-0, asserting their dominance in the early stages of the 2026 season. With both teams looking to establish momentum, the Seahawks proved too formidable on both sides of the ball, showcasing their offensive firepower and defensive resilience. Quarterback Jalen Milroe led the charge for Seattle with an impressive 264 passing yards and a touchdown, while Deebo Samuel Sr. contributed significantly on the ground with 85 rushing yards. Wide receiver Cooper Kupp was a standout target, racking up 100 receiving yards, making crucial plays to keep drives alive and maintain pressure on the Commanders' defense. Defensively, the Seahawks were relentless, highlighted by an interception from Devon Witherspoon that shifted momentum firmly in their favor. Although Washington's Sonny Styles recorded nine tackles and Daron Payne notched 1.5 sacks, it was Seattle's ability to stifle any offensive rhythm that marked the game's turning point. The Seahawks' defense not only kept the Commanders scoreless but also set the stage for their offensive surge, ultimately sealing the shutout victory.
