In a closely contested matchup, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers secured a 22-16 victory over the Cleveland Browns in Week 2 of the 2026 season. Both teams entered the game looking to build momentum early in the season, but it was the Buccaneers who emerged victorious. Baker Mayfield led the Buccaneers with a crucial touchdown pass, while Bucky Irving contributed significantly on the ground, racking up 58 rushing yards. For the Browns, Matthew Stafford threw for 263 yards, connecting frequently with Isaiah Bond, who amassed 99 receiving yards. Despite the Browns’ offensive efforts, they fell just short of overcoming the Buccaneers’ lead. Defensively, the Buccaneers were anchored by Josiah Trotter, who made a game-high 12 tackles, and Rueben Bain Jr., who notched two sacks, applying consistent pressure on Stafford. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Bain's second sack forced a pivotal turnover on downs, allowing Tampa Bay to maintain control and seal the victory.
