In a decisive Week 16 matchup, the Jacksonville Jaguars dominated the Dallas Cowboys with a final score of 49-21, solidifying their playoff aspirations. With the win, the Jaguars continue to make their case as one of the top teams in the league as they head towards the postseason. Trevor Lawrence put on a spectacular performance, throwing for an impressive 429 yards and a staggering seven touchdowns, showcasing his elite passing ability. Meanwhile, George Pickens was a bright spot for the Cowboys, amassing 156 receiving yards, but it wasn't enough to keep pace with the onslaught from Jacksonville's offense. Javonte Williams contributed on the ground for Dallas with 63 rushing yards, but the Jaguars' defense was able to focus on limiting his impact. On the defensive side, the Cowboys struggled to contain the Jaguars' offensive explosion, failing to generate significant pressure, as evidenced by Malachi Lawrence's lone half-sack. The turning point of the game came early in the third quarter when Lawrence threw his fourth touchdown pass, extending the Jaguars' lead to three scores and effectively putting the game out of reach. Despite Jaishawn Barham's seven total tackles, the Cowboys' defense couldn't recover from the early deficit, leading to a convincing victory for Jacksonville.
