In a dominant performance, the Baltimore Ravens shut out the Los Angeles Chargers with a final score of 27-0 in Week 5 of the 2027 season. This victory not only improves the Ravens’ standing but also sends a strong message about their defensive prowess as they continue to assert themselves in the league. Lamar Jackson led the Ravens' offense with a solid passing performance, throwing for one touchdown while managing the game effectively. Derrick Henry was the star on the ground, racking up 116 rushing yards and consistently moving the chains. The Ravens' balanced attack proved too much for the Chargers to handle, as they consistently found ways to exploit mismatches. Defensively, the Ravens were relentless, shutting down the Chargers’ offense completely. Teddye Buchanan recorded a key sack, while Malaki Starks made a decisive interception that halted a potential scoring drive. With Genesis Smith leading the Chargers' defense with nine tackles, it was clear that the Ravens’ ability to control the game on both sides of the ball was the turning point in this lopsided affair.
