In a tightly contested matchup, the New Orleans Saints topped the Dallas Cowboys 23-16 in Week 6 of the 2027 season. This victory was crucial for the Saints, helping them maintain their momentum as they vie for playoff positioning. The Cowboys, looking to bounce back, put forth a valiant effort but ultimately fell short on home turf. Dak Prescott led the Cowboys' offense with a strong performance, throwing for 317 yards and one touchdown. Javonte Williams contributed significantly on the ground, racking up 92 rushing yards, while CeeDee Lamb was a reliable target, finishing with 88 receiving yards. Despite their efforts, the Cowboys were unable to find the end zone enough to secure a win. Defensively, the Saints made their mark, with Bryan Bresee standing out by recording 1.5 sacks, disrupting Prescott's rhythm throughout the game. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Bresee's pressure resulted in a crucial turnover, allowing the Saints to maintain their lead. The Cowboys' defense, led by Ameer Speed with eight total tackles, fought hard, but it was the Saints' strategic defensive plays that ultimately sealed the victory.
