The Houston Texans secured a hard-fought victory over the Indianapolis Colts, winning 27-22 in a pivotal Week 3 matchup of the 2026 season. Both teams entered the game looking to establish momentum early in the season, but it was the Texans who ultimately emerged victorious, showcasing their resilience on the road. Marcus Mariota led the Colts with a solid performance, throwing for 217 yards and a touchdown, while Isiah Pacheco helped the Texans ground game with 77 rushing yards. Darius Slayton was a bright spot for Indianapolis, racking up 71 receiving yards, but it wasn't enough to clinch the win. The Texans' ability to balance their offense proved crucial, as they effectively moved the chains when it mattered most. Defensively, Will Anderson Jr. was a standout for Houston, recording three sacks and applying relentless pressure on Mariota throughout the game. The Texans' defense stifled the Colts' attempts to gain momentum, especially in the fourth quarter, where a key interception by Sauce Gardner halted a potential game-tying drive. Ultimately, the Texans' defensive prowess in critical moments turned the tide, allowing them to hold off the Colts and secure the win.
