In a thrilling Week 3 matchup of the 2026 season, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers topped the Minnesota Vikings with a final score of 37-24. This victory solidifies the Buccaneers' position in the early playoff picture, showcasing their offensive prowess and defensive resilience against a competitive Minnesota squad. Baker Mayfield led the Buccaneers’ offense with 208 passing yards, while Christian McCaffrey made a significant impact on the ground, rushing for 168 yards. Kyler Murray’s three touchdown passes for the Vikings kept the game competitive, but it wasn’t enough to overcome Tampa Bay’s offensive firepower. T.J. Hockenson also made his mark, racking up 78 receiving yards for Minnesota. The game’s turning point came when Tampa Bay's defense stepped up, with Benjamin Morrison grabbing two crucial interceptions that stymied Minnesota’s momentum. While Channing Tindall recorded a sack for the Vikings, it was the Buccaneers' ability to create turnovers and pressure that ultimately sealed the victory. This win not only boosts Tampa Bay's confidence but also raises questions for Minnesota as they look to rebound in the coming weeks.
