In a commanding performance, the Seattle Seahawks topped the Washington Commanders 31-13 in Week 3 of the 2026 season. The Seahawks continued to build momentum as they sought to solidify their position in the playoff race, while the Commanders struggled to find their footing in a challenging matchup. Quarterback Sam Darnold led the way for Seattle, throwing for 289 yards and three touchdowns, showcasing his ability to connect with his receivers effectively. Jaxon Smith-Njigba was a standout target, racking up 128 receiving yards, while Jadarian Price contributed significantly on the ground with 87 rushing yards. This offensive firepower proved too much for the Commanders to handle. Defensively, the Seahawks were relentless, with Ernest Jones IV leading the charge with eight total tackles and a sack. Devon Witherspoon added to the pressure with an interception, which marked a crucial turning point in the game, stifling any momentum the Commanders hoped to build. The Seahawks' defense not only kept Washington’s offense in check but also created opportunities that helped secure the decisive victory.
