In a dominating performance, the Jacksonville Jaguars defeated the Denver Broncos 40-7 in Week 2 of the 2026 season. The Jaguars made a statement with this victory, showcasing their offensive firepower and solidifying their early season momentum. Trevor Lawrence led the way for Jacksonville, throwing for 341 yards and three touchdowns, effectively carving up the Broncos' defense. Brian Thomas Jr. was his favorite target, racking up 120 receiving yards and contributing significantly to the offensive onslaught. Despite the lopsided score, J.K. Dobbins of the Broncos managed to lead his team in rushing with 58 yards, but it was not enough to keep pace with the Jaguars. Defensively, the Jaguars capitalized on their opportunities, with Travis Hunter making a crucial interception that shifted the game's momentum. The turning point came early in the second quarter when Lawrence connected with Thomas Jr. for a long touchdown, giving Jacksonville a commanding lead that the Broncos could never recover from. With the Jaguars' defense holding strong and limiting Denver’s scoring chances, this game quickly turned into a showcase of Jacksonville's dominance.
