In a decisive matchup, the Kansas City Chiefs topped the Seattle Seahawks 38-17 in Week 7 of the 2026 season. With playoff implications looming, Kansas City showcased their offensive prowess, solidifying their position in the standings. Leading the charge for the Chiefs was quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who threw for an impressive 379 yards and five touchdowns, proving once again why he’s a top contender in the league. His favorite target, Rashee Rice, had a standout performance with 181 receiving yards, making crucial catches that kept drives alive and energized the Chiefs' attack. Meanwhile, De'Von Achane led the Seahawks in rushing with 56 yards but struggled to find consistent support against a relentless Kansas City defense. The turning point came in the second quarter when Mahomes connected with Rice for a 75-yard touchdown, extending the lead to 21-10 and shifting the momentum heavily in favor of the Chiefs. Despite Seattle's defense, with Ernest Jones IV leading the way with six tackles, they were unable to contain Kansas City's high-octane offense. The Seahawks managed a lone sack from Dante Fowler Jr., but it wasn’t enough to disrupt Mahomes' rhythm as Kansas City cruised to victory.
