In a decisive Week 6 matchup, the New York Jets topped the New England Patriots 27-10, solidifying their position in the playoff race. This victory marked a crucial step for the Jets as they look to maintain momentum in the 2026 season, while the Patriots face mounting pressure to turn their season around. Caleb Williams led the charge for the Jets, throwing for two touchdowns and showcasing his ability to find the end zone. Braelon Allen contributed significantly on the ground with 65 rushing yards, helping to balance the Jets' offensive attack. Meanwhile, DeMario Douglas stood out for the Patriots, racking up 118 receiving yards, though it wasn’t enough to spark a comeback. Defensively, the Jets were anchored by Trevin Wallace, who registered nine total tackles, consistently disrupting the Patriots' offensive rhythm. The game's turning point came in the second quarter when Williams connected with a touchdown pass that shifted momentum firmly in New York's favor. Despite a solid performance from Harold Landry III, who logged a sack for New England, the Jets' defense proved too formidable, stifling any chance of a Patriots rally.
