In a thrilling Week 5 matchup of the 2026 season, the Detroit Lions topped the Arizona Cardinals 43-32, showcasing their offensive firepower while solidifying their position in the playoff race. Both teams entered the game looking to boost their momentum, but the Lions proved too much for the Cardinals to handle. Detroit's offense was led by quarterback Jared Goff, who threw for four touchdowns, and running back Jahmyr Gibbs, who racked up an impressive 145 rushing yards. Meanwhile, the Cardinals' Joe Milton dazzled with 379 passing yards and kept his team competitive, though it wasn't enough to secure a victory. Trey McBride also shone for Arizona, hauling in 211 receiving yards and providing a consistent target throughout the game. Defensively, the Lions made critical plays that turned the tide in their favor. Keith Abney II's interception proved pivotal, halting a potential scoring drive from the Cardinals and shifting the momentum back to Detroit. While Walter Nolen III registered a sack for Arizona, it was the Lions' ability to capitalize on key defensive opportunities that ultimately secured their victory.
