In a dominant season opener, the New York Giants topped the Dallas Cowboys 35-14, marking a strong start to the 2026 campaign. The Giants showcased their offensive prowess, while the Cowboys struggled to keep pace, setting the tone for what could be a competitive rivalry in the season ahead. Leading the charge for the Giants was Cam Skattebo, who rushed for 95 yards and found the end zone, proving to be a key component of the ground game. Dak Prescott of the Cowboys also had a notable performance, throwing for 203 yards and two touchdowns, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Giants’ offensive firepower. George Pickens added a significant contribution in the receiving game with 129 yards, but the Cowboys' efforts fell short. Defensively, the Giants made critical plays that shifted momentum, highlighted by Tremaine Edmunds' interception, which halted a promising drive by Dallas. The turning point came late in the second quarter when the Giants capitalized on a turnover, converting it into a touchdown that widened their lead. With a combination of timely defensive stands and explosive offensive plays, New York effectively controlled the game and secured a convincing victory.
