In a decisive Week 13 matchup, the Anchorage Avengers defeated the Titusville Shrikes 37-18, solidifying their playoff positioning as the season heads into its final stretch. Both teams came into the game with playoff aspirations, but only one could emerge with momentum heading into the postseason. Baker Mayfield showcased his prowess under center, throwing for 259 yards and three touchdowns, leading an explosive offensive effort for Anchorage. Justin Jefferson was a standout target, racking up 113 receiving yards, while Christian McCaffrey contributed with a solid ground game, adding 66 rushing yards to the mix. This offensive firepower was critical as the Avengers consistently moved the chains and capitalized on scoring opportunities. Defensively, the Avengers made their presence felt, with Brian Branch snagging an interception that shifted the momentum early in the second half. Although Isaiah Simmons tallied ten tackles for Titusville, the Avengers' defense stifled their opponents at key moments, preventing any serious comeback attempts. The turning point came late in the third quarter when Anchorage extended their lead, leaving the Shrikes unable to recover.
