In a dominant performance, the Charleston Egrets topped the San Antonio Desperados 51-14 in Week 12 of the 2026 season. With playoff implications on the line, Charleston showcased their offensive firepower, leaving San Antonio struggling to keep pace throughout the matchup. Leading the charge for the Egrets was De'Von Achane, who racked up 91 rushing yards, while quarterback Fernando Mendoza of the Desperados threw for 220 yards and one touchdown. Despite the loss, Mendoza's standout performance was bolstered by wide receiver Jameson Williams, who accumulated an impressive 150 receiving yards, showcasing his ability to make big plays downfield. Defensively, the Egrets made their mark with key turnovers, highlighted by Denzel Ward's two interceptions that shifted the momentum in Charleston's favor. The game's turning point came early in the second half when Ward's second pick set up a quick touchdown, effectively putting the game out of reach for the Desperados. San Antonio struggled to recover from this moment, as Charleston's defense continued to pressure and thwart their offensive efforts.
