In a dominant display, the Savannah Cannons topped the Troy Reavers 49-19 in Week 9 of the 2026 season, solidifying their position in the playoff race. This matchup showcased a potent offense from Savannah, while the Reavers struggled to keep pace throughout the game. Matthew Stafford was the star of the night, throwing for an impressive 496 yards and a staggering seven touchdown passes. He connected with Sincere Brown for 180 receiving yards, as the duo carved up the Reavers' secondary with precision and flair. Despite a modest ground game from Troy, led by Kyren Williams with 48 rushing yards, the Cannons' aerial assault proved too powerful to counter. Defensively, the Cannons were equally impressive, with Keyron Crawford recording two sacks and Tre Hawkins III adding an interception to his tally. The turning point came in the second quarter when the Cannons forced a critical turnover, shifting momentum firmly in their favor. Carson Schwesinger led the team with four total tackles, ensuring that the Reavers' offensive efforts were consistently stifled as Savannah cruised to victory.
