In a hard-fought battle in Week 6 of the 2026 season, the Little Rock Kings narrowly defeated the San Antonio Desperados with a final score of 24-22, boosting their confidence in the tightly contested league. With playoff implications on the line, both teams showed up to play, but it was the Kings who ultimately prevailed. San Antonio's Fernando Mendoza had a standout performance, throwing for 175 yards and two touchdowns, while Mike Washington Jr. dominated on the ground with a staggering 200 rushing yards. Jameson Williams contributed to the aerial attack with 66 receiving yards, showcasing the Desperados' offensive potential but ultimately falling just short in the end. Defensively, the Little Rock Kings made crucial stops, with Chris Johnson leading the charge with five total tackles and Mike Green making his presence felt with two sacks. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Green's pressure forced a critical mistake from Mendoza, allowing the Kings to regain possession and secure the victory. The Kings’ defense, though not as flashy statistically, delivered when it mattered most, sealing the win and keeping their playoff hopes alive.
