In a tightly contested battle, the Warroad Woodchucks topped the Charleston River Dogs 23-17 in Week 4 of the 2026 season. The stakes were high as both teams sought to improve their standings, but it was Warroad that ultimately emerged victorious with a gritty performance. Justin Fields led the Woodchucks with 188 passing yards, showcasing his ability to move the ball effectively. Trey Benson was a standout on the ground, racking up 90 rushing yards, while Charleston's Tyler Shough threw for two touchdowns, keeping the River Dogs competitive throughout the game. Chigoziem Okonkwo also made an impact for Charleston with a game-high 102 receiving yards. Defensively, Minkah Fitzpatrick's interception proved crucial for the Woodchucks, providing a key momentum shift that helped them maintain their lead. Although Alex Highsmith dominated with three sacks for the River Dogs, the overall defensive efforts were unable to secure the necessary stops late in the game. Warroad's ability to stifle Charleston's late-game drives ultimately sealed their hard-fought win.
