The victory keeps the Purple Knights in contention as they look to establish themselves early in the season, while the Reavers will need to regroup after a hard-fought battle. Christian Watson emerged as his top target, racking up 132 receiving yards and creating mismatches throughout the game. Jaydon Blue contributed on the ground with 54 rushing yards, helping to balance the offensive attack. Defensively, the Troy Reavers put up a strong fight, with Bobby Okereke leading the team with seven total tackles and Alim McNeill adding 1.5 sacks. Despite the loss, Quentin Lake's interception demonstrated the Reavers' ability to create turnovers, but it wasn't enough to shift the momentum in their favor.
