In a commanding display to kick off the 2026 season, the San Antonio Outlaws crushed the Dallas Desperados with a final score of 49-7. The victory not only sets the tone for San Antonio's campaign but also raises questions about the Desperados' ability to compete this year. Brock Purdy was the standout performer, throwing for an impressive 361 yards and four touchdowns, leading the Outlaws' offensive onslaught. He connected with Malik Nabers, who racked up 156 receiving yards, consistently finding space in the secondary. TreVeyon Henderson contributed on the ground with 67 rushing yards, balancing the attack and keeping the Desperados' defense on its heels. Defensively, the Outlaws were equally dominant, with Payton Wilson making his presence felt with five total tackles and an interception. The game's turning point came early in the second quarter when San Antonio intercepted a pass, leading to a quick touchdown that effectively put the game out of reach. With Arvell Reese adding a sack, the Outlaws' defense proved to be a formidable force, stifling any hopes Dallas had for a comeback.
