In a dominant display at Arrowhead Stadium, the Kansas City Chiefs topped the Los Angeles Chargers 45-21 in Week 6 of the 2026 season. This victory keeps the Chiefs firmly in the playoff hunt, showcasing their offensive firepower and defensive prowess against a division rival. Patrick Mahomes was sensational, throwing for 324 yards and five touchdowns, effectively controlling the game from the pocket. Despite a strong effort from Brenen Thompson, who racked up 141 receiving yards for the Chargers, the Chiefs' offense proved too explosive, consistently finding the end zone throughout the contest. Defensively, the Chiefs made their mark with Chris Jones leading the charge, accumulating 2.5 sacks and pressuring Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert all game long. The turning point came in the second quarter when Mansoor Delane intercepted a Herbert pass, setting up another quick touchdown for Kansas City and shifting momentum squarely in their favor. With JT Woods contributing three tackles, the Chiefs' defense ensured that the Chargers' offensive efforts were met with staunch resistance, sealing their commanding victory.
