In a thrilling Week 5 showdown, the San Francisco 49ers narrowly defeated the Seattle Seahawks 27-24, solidifying their position in the NFC playoff race. With both teams vying for crucial conference standings, every possession mattered in this tightly contested battle. Hendon Hooker led the charge for the 49ers, throwing for 281 yards and a touchdown, showcasing his ability to make pivotal plays when it counted. Mike Evans was Hooker’s primary target, racking up an impressive 122 receiving yards, while the Seahawks' Jadarian Price dominated the ground game with 99 rushing yards, keeping Seattle competitive throughout the contest. Defensively, Nick Bosa was a force for San Francisco, recording two sacks that disrupted Seattle's offensive rhythm at critical moments. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Bosa's pressure forced a crucial turnover on downs, allowing the 49ers to maintain their lead and secure the victory. Despite Nehemiah Pritchett's standout defensive effort for the Seahawks with six tackles, it wasn't enough to turn the tide in Seattle’s favor.
