The Washington Commanders delivered a stunning performance, defeating the New York Giants 62-0 in a dominating display during Week 5 of the 2026 season. With playoff implications looming, the Commanders made a statement, showcasing their offensive firepower while the Giants struggled to find any rhythm. Jayden Daniels was the standout for Washington, throwing for 187 yards and three touchdowns, orchestrating an efficient offensive attack. Stefon Diggs emerged as his favorite target, racking up 128 receiving yards and finding the end zone. Meanwhile, Jacory Croskey-Merritt contributed significantly on the ground with 67 rushing yards, helping to keep the Giants' defense off-balance throughout the game. Defensively, the Commanders were relentless, stifling any attempt by the Giants to mount a comeback. Odafe Oweh was a force, recording 3.5 sacks and an interception, leading a unit that registered a total of five sacks and kept New York's offense in check. The turning point came early in the game when Oweh's interception set up another touchdown, signaling the end of any hope for the Giants and establishing Washington's dominance.
