In a commanding performance, the Indianapolis Colts shut out the Washington Commanders with a final score of 24-0 in Week 4 of the 2026 season. This victory not only boosts the Colts' confidence but also solidifies their position in the playoff race as they continue to build momentum in the early part of the season. Quarterback Anthony Richardson Sr led the charge for Indianapolis, throwing for 243 yards and a touchdown, while Jonathan Taylor contributed significantly on the ground with 55 rushing yards. The Colts’ offensive prowess was complemented by a balanced attack, ensuring they maintained control throughout the game. Despite the efforts of Washington's Stefon Diggs, who recorded 81 receiving yards, the Commanders struggled to find their rhythm. On the defensive side, the Colts' unit was relentless, stifling Washington's offense and preventing any scoring opportunities. The turning point came in the second quarter when Indianapolis intercepted a pass, leading to a quick touchdown and extending their lead. With Rasul Douglas leading the way with seven tackles for Washington, it was clear that the Colts' defense was well-prepared, ultimately playing a pivotal role in this dominant victory.
