In a thrilling Week 3 showdown, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers topped the Minnesota Vikings with a final score of 38-30, securing a vital win early in the 2026 season. Both teams entered the game looking to establish momentum, but it was Tampa Bay that emerged victorious, showcasing their offensive prowess. Baker Mayfield was the star of the night, throwing for a staggering 358 yards and four touchdowns. His connection with the receiving corps was evident, as he successfully spread the ball around, keeping the Vikings' defense on their toes. Bucky Irving contributed significantly on the ground with 78 rushing yards, helping to balance the attack and keep the chains moving. Defensively, Antoine Winfield Jr. made his presence felt with a crucial interception that shifted the momentum in favor of the Buccaneers. The Vikings' defense struggled to contain Mayfield, and despite Jamal Adams leading with eight tackles, they couldn't prevent the big plays that defined the game. The turning point came late in the second quarter when Mayfield's fourth touchdown pass put Tampa Bay ahead for good, setting the tone for a hard-fought second half.
