In a commanding performance to kick off the 2026 season, the Kansas City Chiefs topped the Denver Broncos 31-0, showcasing their dominance on both sides of the ball. With high expectations for the season ahead, the Chiefs sent a clear message that they are ready to compete for the championship once again. Patrick Mahomes led the charge for Kansas City, throwing for 205 yards and three touchdowns, demonstrating his elite playmaking ability. Kenneth Walker contributed with 65 rushing yards, while Travis Kelce was a reliable target, racking up 95 receiving yards. Together, they orchestrated an offensive display that kept the Broncos' defense on its heels throughout the game. Defensively, the Chiefs were equally impressive, with Nick Bolton standing out by snagging two interceptions, which proved pivotal in stifling any hope of a Broncos comeback. The game’s turning point came in the second quarter when Bolton's second pick set up another touchdown drive for Kansas City, effectively putting the game out of reach. The Broncos struggled to find their rhythm, finishing the game without any points, a testament to the Chiefs' relentless defensive effort.
