In a dominant performance, the Jacksonville Jaguars topped the Carolina Panthers 42-17 in Week 3 of the 2027 season, showcasing their offensive firepower and defensive prowess. With this win, the Jaguars improve their record and establish themselves as a formidable contender early in the season. Trevor Lawrence was the star of the show, throwing for 228 yards and four touchdowns, proving to be nearly unstoppable. Brian Thomas Jr. emerged as a reliable target, racking up 104 receiving yards, while Dante Moore led the Panthers on the ground with a modest 38 rushing yards, unable to make a significant impact in the face of Jacksonville's offensive onslaught. The Jaguars' defense was instrumental in securing the victory, highlighted by Caleb Ransaw's standout performance with four total tackles, two interceptions, and a commanding presence on the field. Josh Hines-Allen added to the pressure with two sacks, disrupting any rhythm the Panthers attempted to establish. The turning point came in the second quarter when Ransaw's second interception led to a quick touchdown, swinging momentum firmly in favor of Jacksonville and leaving Carolina struggling to respond.
