In a dominant performance, the Detroit Lions topped the Las Vegas Raiders 28-3 in Week 3 of the 2027 season, solidifying their place as one of the early powerhouses in the league. With this victory, the Lions improve their record and send a clear message about their aspirations this season. Jared Goff led the charge for Detroit with 158 passing yards and two touchdown passes, showcasing his precision and poise under pressure. Meanwhile, Jahmyr Gibbs was a force on the ground, racking up 154 rushing yards that kept the Raiders' defense on its heels. Ryan Coleman-William also had a standout game, contributing significantly with 115 receiving yards, making plays when it mattered most. The Lions' defense was relentless, with Matayo Uigalelei starring with 3 total tackles and an impressive 2.5 sacks, disrupting the Raiders' offensive rhythm throughout the game. The turning point came early in the second half when Uigalelei's pressure led to a crucial turnover on downs, allowing the Lions to extend their lead and secure the win. The Raiders struggled to find their footing, and despite a late interception from Jermod McCoy, they couldn't capitalize on key opportunities.
