The Kansas City Chiefs dominated the Denver Broncos with a decisive 38-3 victory in Week 5 of the 2027 season. This win solidifies the Chiefs' position as a formidable force in the league, showcasing their offensive firepower and defensive prowess against a struggling Broncos squad. Patrick Mahomes led the charge for Kansas City, throwing for 278 yards and two touchdowns, demonstrating his elite playmaking abilities. Meanwhile, Kenneth Walker added a strong ground game with 98 rushing yards, complementing the aerial attack. Although Jaylen Waddle stood out for the Broncos with 97 receiving yards, it wasn’t nearly enough to keep pace with the Chiefs’ explosive offense. Defensively, the Chiefs were relentless, with Roquan Smith recording a game-high nine tackles and Chris Jones notching two sacks, disrupting the Broncos' rhythm throughout the game. The turning point came early in the second quarter when Mahomes connected on a pivotal touchdown pass that shifted momentum firmly in Kansas City's favor. The Broncos struggled to recover, unable to mount any significant threats against a stout Chiefs defense.
